Day 2

Today was a busy day and a wonderful day. We were able to do several different activities. I was able to have a music class today with the special needs program. We did activities with rhythm sticks and movement with scarves and color recognition with Boomwhackers (a tuned percussion instrument)… pictures to come.

This afternoon we took a trip to La Pointe to spend some time at a children’s hospital and orphanage called House of Hope. It is located in the main hospital for this area of Haiti. Their main purpose is to house children while they are being treated for TB. After some time with the kids we went to a store next door and got ice cream.
